August Mobile Food Pantry Arrives in Ontonagon in Less Than One Week

Feeding America’s mobile food pantry returns next week to Ontonagon County. Next Wednesday, Feeding America will deliver a semi-truck full of food to Ontonagon. The food distribution program has been organized as a partnered event between Feeding America and the Copper Shores Community Health Foundation for several years. Mobile Food Pantries offer a unique avenue to fight food insecurity and are very popular in areas further away from the organization’s distribution center. Attendees to the mobile food pantry will not need to show proof of need. Feeding America West Michigan does ask those who pick up food to provide basic contact information. The mobile food pantry will arrive at the Ontonagon Village fire hall on River Street at noon on August 7th.
