Ishpeming Man Arrested for Child Sexual Abuse Activity and Use of a Computer to Commit a Crime

An Ishpeming man has been arrested for child sexual abuse activity and using a computer to commit a crime. Yesterday the Michigan state police announced the arrest of Timothy Paul Romback 57 years old on child sexual abuse activity and use of a computer to commit a crime charges. Romback was arrested following an investigation that was initiated when it was learned by the Internet Crimes Against Children task force he had been viewing child sexually abusive material on the internet. A search of Romback’s residence resulted in the seizure of digital evidence. He has been charged with 10 counts of child sexual abuse activity and 10 counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Each count of child sexual abuse activity carries up to a 25-year sentence, and usage of a computer to commit a crime carries up to 20 years per charge. Rmback was arraigned in the 96th district court last Monday.
