A veteran Northern Michigan University faculty member has been named as the school’s new provost. Kerri Schuiling earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from NMU in 1973. She returned to the university as an instructor in 1998, and became department head the following year. She left Northern in 2012 to become dean of the Oakland University School of Nursing, but returned to Marquette last year. Schuiling replaces Paul Lang, who passed away in January.
