The identity of the Houghton woman who was allegedly involved in a rollover accident with her children in the car is now known.
34-year-old Annie Marion Freeman was arraigned late Monday afternoon in 97th District Court in Houghton.
Freeman is charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with an Occupant less than 16 years old.
That charge has a penalty of $200-$1,000 and 5 days to one year in jail if convicted.
She is also charged with Possession of Marijuana which is punishable by a $2,000 fine and one year in jail.
Both charges are misdemeanors.
Freeman stood mute on the charges and a plea of Not Guilty was entered by the court.
Police say Freeman was involved in crash on May 8th on Airport Park Road near M-26 in Osceola Township.
A passerby found the vehicle upside down with one child outside of the car and an infant still strapped in her car seat.
The passerby rescued the infant. The driver crawled out of the car on her own.
Freeman was then arrested by Troopers from the Michigan State Police Calumet Post.
She is scheduled to be back in court for a pretrial hearing on May 22nd at 9:30am.
