Finlandia Foundation National Installs New Sign on the Finnish American Heritage Center

The Finnish American Heritage Center has new signage as the Finlandia Foundation national. Earlier this week Finlandia Foundation National placed its logo on the façade facing Quincy Street. Adding to the local landmark’s identity as the heart of Finnish-American activities in the Upper Peninsula. In April the foundation held a grand reopening for the site after taking possession of the location when Finlandia University closed. With the Finnish American Heritage Center building, the Foundation retained the university’s archives and collections, Finnish American Reporter, Finlandia Art Gallery, Finnish American Folk School, and the Price of Freedom Museum. In early 2024 the foundation finalized acquiring the adjacent North Winds Books store to the FAHC. Finlandia Foundation National employed Homestead Graphics and Design of Baraga for the fabrication and installation of the FFN logo. Finlandia Foundation National works as a nonprofit organization, based in California, organized to support Finnish-American cultural expression in the United States.
