Copper Country Community Arts Council Invites Former Isle Royale Teen Artist in Residence to the Center in August for Programming

A core purpose of the Copper Country Community Arts Center works to expand the community’s artistic endeavors. Periodically throughout the year, the center hosts artists to teach medium classes that center around a theme and style of artwork. In August the Center plans to bring in former Isle Royale Teen Artist in Residence Allison Clarke to offer a free series of programs for youth and adults.

Clarke works in portraiture and as a realism painter. Her art has included a variety of styles and media including photography, pottery, papermaking, drawing, and water-soluble oil paints and watercolor. Next month she’s hosting painting Isle Royale National Park for 3-6th graders, and teens. As well as drawing animals of Isle Royale, for youth. On August 22nd Clakre will offer a free presentation to speak about her experience as a teen artist in residence and returning artist in residence, and share artwork inspired by her time in the national park.

The free programming with the Copper Country Community Arts Center has been sponsored by the Isle Royale National Park. Those interested in learning more about the CCCAC programs or want to register for programs with Allison Clarke in August can find more details here.
