A Keweenaw Peninsula company was recently recognized as a business to watch by Michigan Celebrates Small Business. Last month Mohawk Technology received a 2024 Michigan Companies to Watch Award at the annual Michigan Celebrates Small Business awards gala. Company founder and CEO Jay Isaacson says that the honor represents years of hard work by Mohawk Technology staff. Director of Operations Nick Peterson adds that he was grateful for the opportunity to represent the company while networking with other exceptional business leaders a part of exciting companies.
In the past three years, it has worked to complete capital improvement projects at three locations resulting in the new process and mechatronics shops, and a panel Testing facility. Mohawk Technology is an automation engineering firm with two primary units including a process group and a mechatronics group. Last year Mohawk Technology celebrated 10 years in business employing over 50 people.
