The Detroit Tigers had yesterday off, and open a three-game home set against the Twins tonight. Alfredo Simon will start against Kyle Gibson. Hear the first pitch at 7:08 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3 WCCY.

The Milwaukee Brewers blew a six-run lead, then recovered, and beat the Chicago White Sox 10-7 last night. Milwaukee scored five runs in the first two innings, and added single scores in the fourth and fifth. The Sox began their comeback with two runs in the fifth – the only two runs starter Wily Peralta gave up over six innings. Chicago closed the gap with three runs in the top of the seventh, and tied the game with two in the eighth. Milwaukee responded in the bottom of the eighth with  a two-run homer from Elian Herrera, and a long solo shot by Khris Davis.

The Brewers continue that interleague series against the White Sox in Milwaukee tonight. Mike Fiers will pitch against Chris Sale.

The Michigan Tech soccer team has added three new players to its roster for next fall. Kate Dorman is a defender from Manchester, Michigan. Darby McLaurin is a midfielder from Cadillac who played for Delta Community College last season.  Rachel Wall is a defender from Eagan, Minnesota.

The Finlandia University baseball team has added two more players for next season. Zach Koehn is a catcher from Port Huron North High School. Chance Berget is a middle infielder from Milwaukee.
