McDonald’s in Houghton and Marquette Partners with Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly to Bring Seniors and Volunteers Together

McDonalds and Little Brother’s Friends of the Elderly will partner next week to serve some sweet treats. Recently McDonald’s introduced the new Grandma McFlurry, and in honor of the new limited-time item, will partner with Little Brother’s Friends of the Elderly Network, the national organization whose mission seeks to support adults experiencing isolation and loneliness. The Little Brother’s Michigan Chapter has helped combat loneliness in the elderly community across the rural region for over 40 years. LBFE Michigan Chapter Director Carol Korpala says that the organization is pleased to partner with McDonald and the Grandmaa Flurry with the promotion event next Wednesday. On June 12th at the Mcdolands locations in Houghton and Marquette from 1 pm to 3 pm LBFE volunteers and elderly friends will visit to enjoy some ice cream and time spent with friends.
