Northern Michigan University seeks students and projects for the second cohort of its Rural Leadership Fellowship Program. The university’s rural leadership program immerses students in project-based learning opportunities that support Upper Peninsula economic and community projects. Rural Leadership Fellowships focus on graduate students enrolled in NMU’s Master of Public Administration and Master of Business Administration programs. The program is a public-private partnership between Inverts UP and NMU and is funded by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and the NMU Sisu Institute Innovation Fund. Throughout the program, students are mentored by an advisory committee made of experienced planning and development leaders. Learn more about the program here.
