Copper Shores Victim Support will Host the 4th Annual Puppy Parade in Hancock

Sometimes the best ear to listen to your story is attached to that of furry friends. Pets are often a familiar face that people can confide their deepest fears, and hardest truths in. To help celebrate that relationship between people and pets, Copper Shores will host the annual Puppy Parade in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Next Thursday the puppy parade will return to the area, meeting at the Quincy Green in Hancock, to meet new friends, support victims of SA, and raise awareness for what they go through. On-site Copper Shore victim support staff will share resources with attendees and provide a space for people to openly discuss sexual assault and its impact on individuals, families, and communities. Copper Shores does ask those planning to attend the parade to register online. Those who pre-register for the event will receive a free tote bag. The is free, donations and proceeds raised during the event will support purchasing a colposcope, a piece of equipment used by Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners during medical forensic interviews.
