Spring Weight Restrictions Start in the Ottawa National Forest

The National Forest Service announces spring road weight limits for the Ottawa National Forest. Starting today (April 8th, midnight) the forest service will begin to impose weight limits on vehicles over 3 tons on forest roads open to motorized use. Request to utilize forest roads requires a permit, and the forest service has posted impacted roads. Restrictions are in place until posted markers are removed. The forest service notes that some service roads have seasonal designations through May 15th, and may not be open to all motorized traffic at this time.
