Because spring break started a couple of days early, area kids might have already grown bored of laying around the house this week.
Keweenaw Land Trust and Michigan Tech will invite kids to the Marsin Nature Area and Retreat today to get out of the house and do some different activities. Family Fun Day, aimed at kids pre-k to 6th grade, will join the Keweenaw Land Trust and Michigan Tech students for the Psychology of Nature course. Some of the activities include creating a nature collage, bird feeders, or a little painting. Then after lunch activities for kids will take them on a scavenger hunt at the Marsin Nature Area and Retreat.
Registration for the event is not necessary but encouraged by organizers, and they ask parents to pack lunch for their children. The event will begin at 11:30 am and last until 1:30 pm. Please dress for the weather. The Marsin Nature Area and Retreat is located at 52864 Red Brick Road.
