MDOT Introduces the Paint the Plow Program with Michigan High Schools

In line with other viral trends from winter weather states and regions of the country, MDOT introduces the statewide Paint the Plow program in 2024 and 25. The unique opportunity with the state transportation department will partner with area schools to help communicate safe driving practices in Michigan.

The Paint the Plow program is open to all Michigan High Schools, technical and vocational programs. Students are encouraged to submit a creative original design that reflects their school and this year’s safety theme “Go Hands-Free. Just Drive. It’s the law.”, after the recently passed hands-free driving legislation last year. MDOT will accept student art submissions until May 17th, with plans to notify the selected schools before the end of the 2024 school year, so arrangements can be made to deliver the plow blade by the fall semester.
