Sheila Rolando, 85, a resident of Hubbell passed away at home Sunday, March 17, 2024, with her family by her side. She was born on September 5, 1938, in Houghton, MI, a daughter of the late Beverly and Viola (Niemi) Langdon.
She was raised in Chassell and was a graduate of the Chassell High School. Sheila then attended Soumi College in Hancock where she received a business degree.
She was one of the first people hired to work at Copper Country Mental Health where she retired from after 36 years of service as a reimbursement officer.
Sheila was united in marriage to Roy A. Aho and he preceded her in death. She was then united in marriage to David L. Rolando and he preceded her in death in 1986.
She enjoyed picking blueberries, apples, cooking, making pasties, canning vegetables, attending her grandchildren’s different sporting events and traveling. She also was a very active bowler for several years and had been a secretary and treasurer for her bowling league.
Preceding her in death were her husbands, her parents, and her brother Terry.

A funeral service for Sheila will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral & Cremation Service – Hancock Chapel with Derek Bradway to officiate. Spring burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery of Houghton.
Friends may call on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 11:00 am until time of services at the Memorial Chapel Funeral & Cremation Service – Hancock Chapel.
