Marilyn I. Gustafson, 78, a resident of Hancock, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at Butterworth-Corewell Hospital in Grand Rapids where she had been a patient for the past 12 days.

She was born on January 19, 1946, to the late Otto and Irene (Ruohonen) Ristila in Hancock, MI. She attended Hancock High School until her family relocated to Tamaqua, PA in 1961.

Marilyn had a servant’s heart. While she worked various positions throughout her life, they all had one thing in common: serving others. She always wanted you to leave her table full. Marilyn was an avid golfer that always enjoyed an afternoon on the golf course. She made friends everywhere she went.

Her faith and family were paramount in her life. Marilyn believed that through the trials & triumphs in life Jesus was always by her side.
