Northland College Seeks 12 Million Dollars to Continue Operation

Finlandia University’s biggest athletic rival will seek to avoid a similar fate. Yesterday Northland College announced intent to seek 12 million dollars in funding to keep the small private college’s doors open. The college’s board of trustees has opened a fundraising campaign to raise enough capital to keep operating before April 3rd. A recent comprehensive survey of the college discovered that Northland College does not currently have enough funding to continue moving forward with the number of programs currently offered. The College will hope to use the funds as a way to refocus the institution’s priorities. Northland College has joined many other small colleges and universities in recent years that face tough financial decisions to continue moving forward.
