Michigan Tech MTU SealTuition at Michigan Tech will rise by nearly four percent next year. At today’s meeting, the Board of Control approved a 173-million dollar budget for the 2015-2016 school year, which includes a 3.9-percent tuition hike. The Board also approved the University’s new Strategic Plan, and agreed to issue 25-million dollars in bonds. The money will be used for renovations at the Danielle Heights residential facility, chemistry lab improvements, a fiber-optic system upgrade, and other projects. As expected, the Board then changed its name, and will be known heretofore as the Board of Trustees. See a full report on the Boards meeting here.
