Gogebic Community College will use 310,600 dollars in state funds to complete campus modernization and infrastructure. Funding to support the modernization of the GCC campus was approved in the most recent state-approved budget for 2024. The fund will improve infrastructure, technology, equipment, maintenance, and safety for students, staff and faculty. Gogebic Community College Vice President of Business Services, Chad Lashua, says the fund will help the college offset costs for replacing the roof on a main academic building, and make further improvements to the academic experience of students and staff. Funds supporting Gogebic Community College are part of a one-time 32.8 million dollar education appropriation that will support projects at 22 community colleges in the state.
