Obituary: Pearl Beaudoin

UPDATE: A graveside service for Pearl will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 11 AM in the Lakeview cemetery section E-2.

Pearl (Dlubala) Beaudoin a resident of Calumet, Michigan passed away on Monday December 25, 2023 at Our Lady of Mercy Nursing Home, following a lengthy illness. 

She was born on May 18, 1954 to Mayme (Seppala) and Charles Dlubala. She attended Calumet High School, graduating with the class of 1975. 

On September 13, 2008 she married Michael Beaudoin at Faith Lutheran church. They later had their marriage blessed at St Paul’s Catholic church. 

Pearl was her mothers’ primary caregiver for many years. She enjoyed taking walks, working outdoors, reading her Bible, attending church events, praying the rosary, building puzzles with her sisters and spending time visiting with her family and friends.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her brothers-in-law Peter MacDonald and David Hongisto and sister-in-law Barbara Adams. 

She is survived by her husband Mike, her sisters Christine MacDonald, and Margie Dlubala, brothers Charles (Deb), Steven (Julie) and Harold Dlubala, two step-sons William (Angie) and Robert (Stacey Krebs) Beaudoin, brothers-in-law Donald, Raymond, Lawrence (Gail), and Lionel Beaudoin, sister-in-law Janet Hongisto, step-granddaughter Lillian Beaudoin and numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to thank the staff of Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital and Our Lady of Mercy who helped to care for Pearl.

 A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday January 2, 2024, at St Paul the Apostle Church in Calumet Michigan. Visitation will take place from 10:00 – 11:00 am downstairs in the church hall A luncheon will follow the service. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery next spring.
