Visit Keweenaw Donates Funds to Several Recreation Groups During Copper Shores’ Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday’s generosity has extended beyond residents and friends of the community. With Visit Keweenaw getting in on the fun and making donations to several recreation groups with Copper Shores Giving Tuesday. Earlier this morning Visit Keweenaw Public Relations Coordinator Jesse Wiederhold met with the Keweenaw Snowmobile Club to deliver the first check of several to different recreation groups. Wiederhold says that campaigns such as Giving Tuesday are a great opportunity for the community to show their support for causes in the area they feel passionate about.

“We tell these stories of the area, but we focus on these groups that are driving visitation to the area. And that’s exactly what these outdoor rec groups do. They create a superb product. They will maintain these pristine trails, And when people realize that, they’re going to come up and see them. And that’s exactly what to encourage, to stimulate that local economy SO it just makes sense to donate to them, and support their missions.” – Jesse Wiederhold, Public Relations and Events Coordinator, Visit Keweenaw

Visit Keweenaw’s Giving Tuesday donations supported the several other recreation groups in the Copper Shores Giving Tuesday campaign, also included the Hancock Trials Club, Swedetown Trails, Copper Harbor Trails Club, and more. Copper Shores’ Giving Tuesday campaign also includes many other causes that impact individuals in the region and support healthy communities in the Copper Country. Copper Shores Community Health Foundation Giving Tuesday donations can be dropped in person at the Copper country mall, or submitted online.
