For sixty years those struggling with mental health in the Copper Country have been served by experts at the Copper Country Mental Health Services. The group serves the region’s four counties Baraga, Houghton Keewenaw, and Ontonagon. Today the facility serves the community through programs with Autism Benefit, Northern Lights Clubhouse, case management, and more. Later this evening Director of the Copper Country Mental Health Services, Mike Bach will share a presentation on the history of the Copper Country. As well as discuss same-day assessment for people in a mental health crisis who are taken to local emergency rooms. The program will begin at 6 pm this evening at the Institute. The institute is located at 900 w Sharon Avenue in Houghton.
