Michigan Technological University has earned a gold star for its progress to become more sustainable. Michigan Tech was recently awarded a STARS Gold rating from the Association of the Advancement of Sustainability in High Education. The achievement recognizes the university’s faculty, staff, and students’ hard work on campus. Michigan Tech was previously awarded a silver rating in 2020. The institution was one of only five public universities in Michigan to earning a gold rating in 2023, scoring 65.69 points.
