National Rural Health Day Essay Contest Closes Soon

There is one week left in the National Rural Health Day Essay Contest. Northern Michigan University’s Center for Rural Health invites high school seniors to take part in the center’s annual essay contest to earn a scholarship toward higher education. The center awards high school seniors in the upper peninsula’s three regions, Eastern, central, and western. This year the essay contest will ask seniors to answer the question, If you could advocate for one change in the healthcare industry, what would it be and why? Winners of the contest will be notified during November, and their essays published by local newspapers on National Rural Health Day, November 16th. The deadline to submit an essay for the Northern Michigan center for Rural Health’s essay contest with the Michigan Center for Rural Health and the Literacy Legacy Fund of Michigan is next Wednesday, October 25th. First-place winners in each region will be awarded a 500-dollar scholarship for higher education in healthcare.
