Feeding America will deliver a semi-truck of food more than 500 miles to the Ontonagon village fire hall today. The Copper Shores Community Health Foundation has worked with Feeding America to set up a series of mobile food pantries in Ontonagon this fall. October’s delivery will be the second this season, and the two groups plan to have another truck delivered in November. The semi-truck will arrive at the Ontonagon village fire hall at noon today. Individuals in need of food security can pick up a box of food without the need to show identification. Feeding America does ask those in need to provide basic contact information such as a phone number or address. The Ontonagon Village Fire Hall is located at 315 River Street in the village of Ontonagon.
