Multi-state Manhunt Ends In Gogebic County

A manhunt that included the U.S. Marshals Service is over after law enforcement caught up with the suspect in Bessemer.

The Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Team arrested a 30-year-old man just before midnight Friday on a felony warrant from the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Department.

The man also had felony warrants in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and one with the U.S. Marshals.

He also had multiple warrants in Michigan according to information from GIANT.

The man, whose name has not yet been released, faces charges ranging from resisting and obstructing, selling heroin, and parole violation.

He is currently being held in the Gogebic County Jail.

The GIANT team was assisted by the Gogebic Iron County SWAT team to gain entry into the residence where the man was located.
