Ingham County Court Hearing to Abandon Finlandia Properties Rescheduled to October

An Ingham County court hearing to abandon properties on Finlandia University’s campus has been rescheduled. Earlier in the month O’Keefe LLC had motioned to abandon six buildings owned by the university due to inconsequential value or benefit to the receivership. Jutila Center, Mannerheim Hall, Nikander Hall, Wargelin Hall, the Paavo Nurmi Center, and Old Main if abandoned would revert to the individual lien hold of each property. The hearing to abandon the properties has been rescheduled for October 18, 2023.

O’Keefe has come to purchase agreements for 12 other Finlandia university properties. Including the Quincy Green and Ryan street gardens, Finlandia Hall, McAfee Field, and the Finnish American Heritage Center.
