Robert Frances Vizina, age 65 of L’Anse, MI passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 14th, 2023 at his home.
He was born August 21, 1958 in L’Anse, MI son of Raymond and Margaret (Selden) Vizina. Robert graduated from L’Anse High School in 1976. He married the former Sheri Rinkinen on August 5, 2016 in L’Anse. Robert worked at Commercial National Bank as a custodian, and then worked at Certainteed for 34 years, retiring this past June. He was an avid Packer fan.
Surviving are his wife Sheri Vizina of L’Anse; parents, Ray and Ethel Vizina of Baraga; brother Gary (Toni) Vizina of L’Anse; step daughter Whitney Lyberg (Trevor) Wood; granddaughter Layla Wood; step siblings Michelle & Mike Yon, Amy Turiff , Deans & Michele Velmer, Bruce & Christie Velmer; and mother-in-law Nancy Rinkinen..
Preceding him in death are his mother Margaret Vizina and brother Daniel Vizina; and father-in-law Gary Rinkinen .
Visitation will be on Thursday, Sept. 21st from 12-2:00 p.m. at Jacobson Funeral Home. His funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. with Fr. Corey Litzner officiating and a luncheon to follow at Jacobson Funeral Home. Burial will be in the L’Anse Evergreen Cemetery.
