Sarah Rawashdeh Earns Scholarship Award from the Parade of Nations

While the rest of campus finishes moving in, Michigan Tech University Parade of Nations organizers are hard at work preparing for yet another grand festival celebrating the region and university’s diverse cultural backgrounds.

As with each festival, the parade of nations awards a student with a scholarship. This year’ recipient of the Parade of Nations essay scholarship is Sarah Rawashdeh, she plans to study Scientific and Technical Communication at the Michigan Tech. Her essay stood out among a large collection of submissions, for her insight and passion for embracing diversity and exclusivity. Rawashdeh emphasizes communication as a key tool to building relationships across diverse backgrounds, and outlined her vision for adding a cultural club to the university groups of unique register student organizations. Rawashdeh is the recipient of the Parade of Nations $1,000 essay scholarship for the 2023 festival. She will join the festivals activities on September 16^th.
