Unite Mental Health and Wellness Invites Teens to Back to School Series

Many may consider summer as the most relaxing time of the year for students, but stress over the start of school can creep up in the weeks leading up to the start of school. To help teens in the area get ready for going back to school, Unite Mental Health and Wellness will host a free Back to school series during the month of August.

Today’s first session will discuss Movement, Health and Wellness, exploring the connection between improving mental health resilience through staying active. Future topics the group will focus on include mindfulness, meditation through nature, and strategies for coping with school related stress. Each session will last approximately two and half hours, and will begin each week at 5:30 pm.

The Back to school series is supported by the Keweenaw Area Community Foundation. Contact Unite Mental Health and Wellness for more information at 906 523 7064 or info@unitewellness.org
