Michigan Tech Offers Research Excursions During Lake Superior Day in Copper Harbor

Any day on Lake Superior is one to celebrate, but this Sunday might be a little more special. For Lake Superior Day on Sunday Michigan Tech Great Lakes researchers will offer scientific excursions aboard the research vessel Agassiz out of Copper Harbor. The 40 minute tour will show those aboard the boat how the health of the lake can affect research and influences their work. The excursion is free to those interested, those spots are limited.

The Michigan Tech Research Vessel excursions are offered as a part of the Ride the Waves program funded by a grant with General Motors. Lake Superior day is observed by communities in the Lake Superior basin typically on or around the third Sunday of July.
