Obituary: Ann Marie Lukima

Ann Marie Lukima of Calumet, Michigan passed away on June 12, 2023, at the Omega House in Houghton, Michigan. Ann was born on July 27, 1939, in Calumet, Michigan to Richard and Anna (Kovachich) Broberg.

Ann met the love of her life, Donald Lukima and they were later married on February 8, 1958. Ann worked as a secretary for Friar Matthew and Father Tom for many years.  

Ann was an avid rockhound, loved to knit and crochet, and other various crafts. She also loved babysitting the neighborhood kids and going to the ocean. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Rosary Club and of Daughters of Isabella. 

Ann is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Anna Broberg, her husband Donald Lukima, and sisters Dori Johnson, and Sandra Goodell, as well as her daughter Zina Robertson. 

Ann is survived by her daughters Cricket (Randy) Eckloff of Ahmeek, Michigan and Melody (Sue) Snyder of Calumet, Michigan, sons Donald (Kelly) Lukima Jr. of Alabama and Justin (Amanda) Lukima of Alabama, Son in-law Curtis Robertson of Cheboygan Michigan. She is survived by sisters Beverly (Calumet) Parski, Bonnie (Richie) Peters, and Linda (Glen) Frusti. She is also survived by grandchildren Steven Eckloff, Josh Eckloff, Billiejo Eckloff, Heidi Ferguson, and Jody Eckloff. Danielle, Kevin, and Melanie Bykkonen, Holly Robertson John and Kim, Nichole and Frrest Fletcher, Donald III and Amanda Lukima. She is survived by her great-grandchildren Serenity, Melody, Noah, Willow, Zina, Layla, Caleb, Donald Ⅳ, Hunter, Lucas, Mihkel, Kingstrom, Karsynn, Jamie, Jacob, Tommie, Jack, Violet, and Hazel.

A private family burial will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
