The Golden Knights visit the Panthers when the Stanley Cup championship series resumes tomorrow night. Vegas leads the series 2-0.
MLB
Kyle Schwarber’s lead-off home run in the bottom of the first inning provided all the scoring in the game, as the Phillies shut down the Tigers 1-0 last night. Pressed into the starting rotation because of injuries, Tyler Alexander turned in three innings, allowing just that one hit.
The Tigers have lost five straight, and conclude that series at Philadelphia tonight. Reese Olson will start against Zack Wheeler. Coverage will begin at 5:40 on 99.3 The Lift.
Joey Weimer’s RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning lifted the Brewers to a 4-3 victory over the Orioles last evening.
The Brewers host the Orioles again tonight. Corbin Burnes will pitch against Dean Kremer.

• At the Hancock Driving Park, A&S Industrial/Loukus Tech plays Superior Lube at 6:15, then faces Downtowner Two at 7:30.
Running
UP Health System – Portage and Houghton High School will host a Community Track night at the Houghton track this evening at 7:00. Events open to community participation include a youth 400-meter dash, and middle, high school, open and masters-level 800-meter and 1600-meter runs. The highlight of the evening will be an attempt by former Houghton High School standout and Michigan Tech All-American Clayton Sayen to set a new Upper Peninsula mile run record. The current record is 4 minutes and 12 seconds.
Proceeds will support the Houghton High School track team.
