Houghton’ s new trash and recycling bins will begin to be used this week.
If you have not received your trash bin, you can place your trash out either in the city bags or a bag that holds up to 30 gallons, and it will be collected.
If you have not received your recycling bin, the city asks you to hold onto it until you do.
Please remember that the trash bins and recycling bins must have the lid closed, and any trash or recycling on the outside of the bin will not be picked up.
