The Canal Run now has registration open for runners.
The 48th annual Canal Run will be on Saturday, July 15.
Experienced runners can participate in the half marathon or 10 mile run. There will also be a half marathon wheelchair division. Other races include the 10 mile walk, 5 mile run, 5 mile blade division, 5 mile walk, and 2 mile run or walk. There will even be a kid’s dash to help them burn off the extra energy.
You can register and pick up your bib on Friday from 3-8 p.m. at Quincy Green, before joining in the Key Ingredients event in downtown Hancock.
On Saturday, there will be no registration, but you can pick up your bib between 6-8:45 a.m.
Races will have staggered times and locations:
⦁ 7:15 a.m. – 10-mile walk at McClain State Park
⦁ 7:30 a.m. – Half marathon at Koskela Road
⦁ 8:00 a.m. – 10-mile Bob Olson Memorial Run at McLain State Park
⦁ 8:50 a.m. – Five-mile run at High Point Road
⦁ 8:55 a.m. – Five-mile walk at High Point Road
⦁ 9:20 a.m. – Two-mile fun run/walk at Cemetery Road near Swedetown Creek
⦁ 10:30 a.m. – Kids dash
