Finlandia Adds Seventh Teach-Out Destination

From Finlandia University:

Finlandia University has finalized a Teach-Out Agreement with Waldorf University in Forest City, Iowa. Waldorf is Finlandia’s seventh official Teach-Out Institution, joining Michigan Technological University, Bay College, Adrian College, Wartburg College, Northern Michigan University and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.

Founded in 1903, Waldorf University is a friendly, private liberal arts school offering a litany of certificate, associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. Waldorf serves approximately 2,500 undergraduate students, offering both in-person and online learning paths while accommodating students who reside on and off campus. Waldorf Warriors Athletics is home to 22 programs competing in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and North Star Athletic Association (NSAA). Additionally, Waldorf has more than 35 campus clubs and organizations.

A Waldorf University resource guide has been prepared for FinnU students interested in learning more about their institution. The guide includes who to contact, an academic teach-out grid, terms of the agreement and links to various resources.

WU Teach-Out Contact: Louisa Montealvo, Director of Transfer and International Admissions, louisa.montealvo@waldorf.edu

To learn more about how to enroll at a Teach-Out Institution or transfer to another school, FinnU students should schedule a meeting with their Academic Advisor to discuss their major and the differences between teach-out and transfer. The complete process can be found here.

More information about Finlandia’s intentions and next steps is available on the University’s website at www.finlandia.edu. Specific questions not answered on the website can be sent to questions@finlandia.edu.
