People who make things – and people who would like to make things – will gather Saturday at Houghton High School for the first Superior Maker Fest.
The event has been organized by the Superior Fab Lab…
That’s Jason Mack, who says the lab facilitates access to equipment that people can use to make things, and expertise to assist them.
Tomorrow’s Maker Fest will feature hands-on activities for visitors, presentations by seven experienced makers, showcases of things made locally, a craft vendor show, and contests, in which visitors can make items from textiles, wood, electronics, plastic or metal.
The Maker Fest will be open from noon until 5:00 tomorrow at Houghton High School. There is no charge to attend, although donations to support the Fab Lab will be appreciated. To see the full schedule and more details, click here.
