The impending return of seasonal temperatures will bring about a temporary reprieve for truckers in the Copper Country.
Seasonal load restrictions, which went into effect this past Monday, will be temporarily suspended beginning this coming Tuesday morning at 8:00.
While daytime temperatures are anticipated to be in the 30s through the weekend, highs are expected to be in the 20s Monday and Tuesday, and the teens later in the week.
That should halt the ground frost thaw that had forced load limits to be implemented weeks ahead of the usual timetable.
The order affects county roads in Houghton, Keweenaw, Baraga and Ontonagon Counties.
Restrictions will be reinstated as weather and conditions necessitate.
