Highland Copper Raises Funds

Highland Copper Company continues to raise money to pursue mining interests in the western Upper Peninsula. The Canadian firm announced on March 11th that it had secured more than $6,137,510 through the sale of shares. Yesterday, Highland said that it had brought in an additional $1,465,176. Highland is developing the Copperwood Mine, southwest of Ontonagon… a new mine at White Pine… and two projects in the northern portion of the Keweenaw Peninsula, one near Gratiot Lake, and the other just north of Bete Gris.
