Teens with a talent for painting drawing or any other form of art each year earn the chance to spend a week on the sunny summer shores of Isle Royale. Every year the Teen Artist Exploration program invites two teens to the national park to backpack, canoe, and capture the park’s wilderness and remote location. The 2023 Teen Artist Exploration trip will camp near Rock Harbor in late july. The Teen Artist Exploration program is sponsored by the Isle Royale and Keweenaw Parks Association and the Copper Country Community Arts Council. Applications to the teen artist program will open on January 2nd and close February 16th. Contact the Isle Royale National Park Houghton Headquarters for more information about the Isle Royale Teen Artist Exploration Program.
