U.P. Crashes Kill Two

Update to Marquette: The victim of last night’s fatal pedestrian/vehicle has been identified as 42 year-old Brandon Howard of Gwinn. Marquette Police identified the driver of the vehicle as 50 year-old Albert Nesberg.

One person was killed in a car-pedestrian crash in Marquette last evening.

Marquette police officers were called out around 8:00 to the intersection of McClellan Avenue and the US-41 bypass.

No additional details have been released.

A Monday afternoon crash in Dickinson County claimed the life of an 81-year-old Rapid River man.

Investigators say the man’s car was westbound on US-2 near Habammer Road in Waucedah Township. He lost control on a corner, and traveled across the eastbound lane into a ditch, where the car rolled over onto its roof.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Four passengers in the car were taken to Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson with non-life-threatening injuries.
