Obituary: Richard W. Rosenlund

Richard (Dick) Wallace Rosenlund, 89, of Hancock, MI, passed away peacefully at his home on December 23, after a brief illness.

Richard was born July 11, 1933, in Brainerd, MN, the son of Louis and Hulda (Niska) Rosenlund.  He graduated from High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

On May 25, 1957, he was united in marriage in Hancock, Michigan to Mary Ann Erickson. The couple resided in Minneapolis, MN, Battle Ground, WA and in 1967 they settled in Hancock, MI where they resided until his death.

Richard was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.

Proceeding him in death are his parents, his siblings, Fred, Gordon, Betty, Bob, Hazel, and Dory and 3 grandchildren, Vic Osborne, Nathan Isaacson and Stacy Leukuma.

Surviving are one brother, John, of Battle Ground, WA, his wife Mary Ann Rosenlund of Hancock, Michigan, his children: Shelly (John) Leukuma of Kalispell, MT, Mark (Brenda) Rosenlund of Hancock, MI, Cheryl (Matt) Stewart of Moorcroft, WY, Julie (Mark) Osborne of Hancock, MI, David (Donna Mae) Rosenlund of Battle Ground, WA, Colleen (Kevin) Isaacson of Hancock, MI, Valerie (Paul) Johnston of Duluth, MN, Kent (Mindy) Rosenlund of Kalispell, MT, Bradley (Holly) Rosenlund of Brush Prairie, WA, 71 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of Christian friends.

Funeral Services for Richard will be held 11:00 am Thursday, December 29, 2022, at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Hancock with Ronald Jouppe and Steven Korpela to officiate.  Spring burial will be in the Lakeside Cemetery of Hancock.

Friends may call on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 6 to 8:00 pm at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Hancock and on Thursday from 10 am until time of services at the church.
