Obituary: Darlene Rosalie Clark

UPDATE: A graveside service will be held Friday, May 26, 2023 at 11am in the Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock.

Darlene Rosalie Clark (Kolehmainen), 79, of Chagrin Falls Ohio passed into eternity on December 8, 2022 to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ whom she loved. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, T. Daniel Clark, and her three children Zena Elliott ( Pete), Aurora OH, Todd Clark (Karen), Manchester By The Sea, MA and Julie Brewer, Dover NH. She will be greatly missed by her five grandchildren Mary Elliott, Jake Elliott, Megan Clark, Emily Clark, and Ryan Clark. She is also survived by her two siblings Zenith Manwell and Raymond Kolehmainen (Claire). She was predeceased in death by her parents Reino and Elaine Kolehmainen, her sister Val Kohlman, and her brother Willie Kolehmainen.

She is a graduate of Hancock Central High School, Hancock MI, and took classes at Suomi College. She married Dan Clark, a graduate of Michigan Technological University in 1963. She was a lifelong devout Christian and was passionate about spreading the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. She witnessed to many souls as a counselor for the Billy Graham Crusade. She volunteered for meals on wheels for several years and visited shut-ins regularly. She was loved and inspired by all who had the blessing to meet her.

The immediate family had a small private and meaningful ceremony conducted by her pastor, Murray Bay. She will be buried in the spring alongside her family in Hancock MI at Lakeside Cemetery.
