The Finlandia University Gallery will remain open, thanks to a significant donation.
The donor has asked to remain anonymous. University officials say a number of other community members chipped in with additional support.
The Gallery was slated to close at the end of the year, one of several cost-cutting moves implemented by school officials in the face of declining enrollment. Located in the Finnish American Heritage Center, it is known for featuring artists of Finnish heritage.
