College Hockey

The Finlandia men’s hockey team earned its first victory of the season yesterday, blanking Lake Forest 2-0. P.J. Donnelly scored the game-winner. Matteo Ybarra added a late empty-netter. Dakota Meyer made 36 saves.

The Finlandia women’s team lost a 4-0 decision to Lake Forest yesterday. The Lions were outshot 69-8.

NHL

The Red Wings snapped their three-game losing streak with a 4-2 victory over the Blue Jackets last night. Austin Czarnik, Dominik Kubalik and Lucas Raymond gave Detroit an early lead. Andrew Copp added a late insurance tally. Ville Husso made 32 saves.

The Wings visit the Lightning tomorrow. Coverage will begin at 6:45 on 99.3 The Lift.

NBA

The Pistons lost to the Grizzlies 122-112 last night. Saddiq Bey scored 24 for Detroit.

The Pistons visit the Heat tomorrow evening.
