L’Anse Council Promotes Halloween Activities

With an otherwise quiet agenda last night, members of the L’Anse Village Council encouraged community members to get into the Halloween spirit.

The HowL-O-Scream Haunted House opened last weekend. Council member Kerri Sikkila said reviews have been great…

We’ve been told that this year’s is one of the best so far.

Village President Ron Ervast saluted the effort of the volunteers who build it each year…

I’ve been through it quite a few times, and I’m just amazed at all the work and everything that goes into it, so, if you’ve never seen it or anything like that, you’ve got to go.

The Howl-O-Scream Haunted House takes place at Meadowbrook Arena each Friday and Saturday for the rest of the month. It is a major fundraiser for the arena.

L’Anse’s annual Boo on the Bay celebration takes place this Friday. From 4:00 until 6:00, kids can trick or treat through downtown, and enjoy bouncy inflatables. There’ll be cider and horse-drawn wagon rides, and performances by the Northern Witches at 4:45 and 5:15.

Boo on the Bay is sponsored by the L’Anse Downtown Development Authority, and all are invited.
