Steve “Toehead” Bromley Traveled for 3,000 Miles, over 17 Months, and in One Canoe

3,000 miles, 17 months and one canoe, is all it took for Steven “Toehead” Bromley to travel around the south east united states. Tomorrow evening Bromley will entertain an audience with tales of the rivers and lakes he traversed during his journey. Bromely started his journey on the French Broad River in North Carolina in 2020, traveled south and returned to the north Carolina again this past June, taking a short break during hurricane season in 2021.

“I don’t know what it is with blue herons and me, but we’ve got a strange connection. And in fact I had been wind bound on the gulf once for two days. And this heron hung with me at camp. For two days. And I go to load the boat that morning. And as I was loading the boat, I went back for one more bag. And that heron jumped in the boat. – Steven Bromley, Through-Paddler

Bromley is ready to speak at the Calumet Theater Ballroom tomorrow evening. The show will start at 7:30 pm. There will be a social hour prior to the event, starting at 630. Steven Bromley’s Travelogue is free to attend.
