The fourth and final finalist to become the next president of Northern Michigan University is Mike Godard.
Since 2019, Godard has been the Provost at Southeast Missouri State University, which has about 10,000 students. Before that, he held leadership positions at the University of Central Missouri, and Southeast Missouri State University.
His undergraduate degrees are in exercise science and physiology. He earned his Ph.D. in Human Bioenergetics from Ball State University.
Godard will meet with community members at a reception tonight at 5:30 at the Northern Center. Find out more about him here.
The board of trustees will interview all four candidates next week, with hopes of introducing the school’s next president shortly afterward.
