Geeks will Flock to Michigan Tech this Weekend

Comic books, superheroes, DC vs Marvel and so much more are coming to Michigan Tech’s campus this weekend. Comic books have have influenced other forms of media in recent years, exemplified by the rise of Marvel studios, and DC comics hitting the silver screen and appearing on television networks and streaming services.  Geek U.P. is miniature comic con that helps support charitable causes, with this year’s recipient being the group, Unite Mental Health and Wellness. This year’s Geek U.P. includes two special guests well known in the video game industry, Voice actors, Roger Craig Smith and Upper Peninsula native, Patricia Summerset. Geek U.P. will take place on Saturday, in the Memorial Union Building on MTU’s campus. Doors open at noon. Tickets are 15 dollars for adults, and 8 for Tech students and kids 14 and under.
