Hancock’s new zoning ordinance could take a big step toward approval tonight.
The city has been working for months on the first major rewrite of the zoning rules in a half century.
At its meeting this evening, the city council is set to introduce the result formally. Barring any last-minute issues, a final public hearing will be set for the council’s regular meeting August 3. The council could approve the new zoning ordinance following that hearing.
The Hancock council will also again consider the restrictions and covenants for the city’s new business and technology park. That decision was delayed two weeks ago, because of some last-minute language issues.
The meeting begins at 6:00 at Hancock city hall. See the full agenda and online access instructions here.
